From Bishkek

- Transfer from Manas Airport — ~4 h
- Minibuses and taxis from the Western bus station
From Almaty

- By car via Korday and Bishkek — all year, ~500 km
- Via Kegen — Karkara in summer, 5–7 h
- Flight to Tamchy Airport — 1 h, then a 40-minute transfer
From Astana

- Flight to Bishkek, then transfer
- In summer — direct flight to Tamchy
